Greeting

It is EVERY coach’s responsibility to greet EVERY child as they arrive!

It’s easy to engage: Give a High Five, say ‘Morning!!’ in a really cheery way, comment on their cool hat or shoes, start passing and catching the ball. There are so many fun ways to get involved.

This instantly puts the children and the parents at ease and means the rest of the session will be more fun for everyone!

Make sure you know the names of any triallers you’re expecting in advance so you know exactly where they should be going when they arrive.

If you see a coach not engaging with the children, pull them up on it and ask them to maybe do some kicking or something that they feel comfortable with.
